Yesterday my stitching group went to a needlework exhibition. Long drive! But worth it. It was a very nice day. We went straight to the exhibit, lol, but we were all hungry! Maybe next year we’ll eat first! Anyway, lots of good deals and amazing stitching! The 9/11 quilts were there too. Very moving to see them.



Each of the stars has a stitched quilt block in it representing each state along with the year they became part of the union.

The other thing we got to do was dye some fabric! or floss, but I only brought fabric with me. I did an orange one and a green one. Neither turned out as dark as I’d like, but they are still pretty interesting!


Do you know what is really funny? Those two pictures were taken in the exact same location, right after each other, no lighting changes. One makes my off white rug look blue, the other makes it look pink!
